So, we’re taking a break from Rewind this year.” Instead, YouTube opted to give a shoutout to content creators who have helped the community during this year.

YouTube Rewind is the yearly tradition that recaps the past year’s major highlights, events, trends and even memes. But every year, the video has a massive dislike bar with YouTube Rewind 2019 being 2019’s most disliked video.

Some people like PewDiePie have actually made their own YouTube Rewind and tried to “fix” it.

YouTube‘s statement ended saying:

“We know that so much of the good that did happen in 2020 was created by all of you. You’ve found ways to lift people up, help them cope, and make them laugh. You made a hard year genuinely better.’
