Pinoy streamer Buunja deflects hate comments on her stream and gets backlashNovember 12, 2018
After a comment from a viewer saying that she’s only Gold rank on League of Legends, Buunja got passive aggressive on her livestream and fired back.
She adds that she may be Gold but at least she’s a streamer and that you don’t need to be a high rank to be streamer. She then poked fun at the person who commented at her rank saying that he may be high rank but he isn’t a streamer like her and saying that he’s “kawawa” which means pathetic, miserable or hopeless.
Hi! Yes, gold lang ako pero isa akong streamer. Ikaw? Ano ba ang rank mo? At b’at di ka streamer? To be honest guys, wala sa rank ang pagiging streamer no? It’s sa pag eenjoy mo. Kaya ikaw kuya, kahit mataas man rank mo tas hindi ka nag-iistream, sino yung kawawa sa atin? Ayun, tsk tsk tsk tsk.
Backlash from the community
After her comments against said viewer, she then started getting backlash from the community with certain pages making memes out of her.
After the backlash, Buunja then just apologized for her actions saying that the hate comments got the better of her but she also adds that she should have just ignored it instead. You can read her full apology below.
Gian Lois Concepcion or more known as “Gloco”, another well known streamer/YouTube personality has also commented on Buunja’s actions. Adding that she should have not gotten “triggered” and that using “streaming” as a social status is never a good idea.
Streamers should have thick skin
To streamers and those planning to stream, no matter what you do, you will always get hate comments every now and then. Fighting back usually is no good and with what happened to Buunja, you will most likely get more hate so it is best to just ignore the comment and move on. You can’t please everybody.
